Kamryn Loy Voice Studio
I have been singing and studying voice since I was 14, and love helping my students to discover their voices and become more confident singers and performers.

I've heard it all!
I have taken many many voice lessons from many different teachers and coaches in NYC. I've heard and seen it all! Over the years, I found that everyone had at least one good thing to say. I kept a journal savoring morsels of vocal wisdom from each one.
Today, I am singing better than when I was 20. I understand what singers feel, think, and experience when they are in voice lessons, on-stage, auditioning and practicing. Now, I am sharing all the vocal wisdom I have acquired from the slow, steady, and organic growth process of over 20 years of learning and performing.

All my training comes from years of professional performance experience in NYC. My main teachers have been Bill Schuman, Judith Coen, David Jones and Elaine Bonazzi.

I have taught Master Classes for 92nd St Y in NYC, Spelman College, Agnes Scott College, Toledo School of the Arts, and also teach at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, GA.

Meeting you where you are
Voice is the first and most primal instrument. Learning how to sing is deeply personal. Every singer needs something different. I meet you where you are regarding vocal technique, body awareness, musicianship, storytelling, and overall joy and freedom.
Healthy singing starts with an understanding of vocal pedagogy, but we can’t stop there. A captivating performance is so much more than physiological mechanics. My approach is based on the idea that singing is a whole-body experience. With a combination of traditional and holistic techniques, I help my students to go beyond technical understanding.
